The hackathon runs as a 4-week online event, ending with a final in-person judging session in Cape Town.

Phase	What happens
Registration	Register your team by 26 August
Week 1 - Understand	Opening session, challenge brief walkthrough and an introduction to Interledger and Open Payments
Week 2 - Define	Develop your concept, users, use cases and proposed payment journey, with workshops and mentor check-ins
Weeks 3–4 - Build	Build your proof of concept with technical support sessions
Finale	Submit your project and pitch it at the final in-person judging event, with prizes and swag
